I think my question is pretty clear. This has happened alot as of late with my spouse and I dining out.
I have seen this happen at Sizzler to Finer Dining. How in the world can anyone think it’s ok to have junior him or he bother other patrons? I myself ignore the kids, but it’s hard..
I get so annoyed with that myself. Last night while I was at dinner it happened my daughter was probably the same age as the other kid. My husband, daughter and I were out at applebees and there was this kid running around everywhere then he came up to my daughter and I don’t even know what type of noise it was he made at her but then she got scared and the dad finally came to get him and the little boy just was screaming. I can’t stand when people let their kids behave like this. Don’t take your kids out in public if they can’t behave!
I have seen this & i think it is horrible & irresponsible.. anything could happen to the child someone give it something it may be alergic to & kill it or someone kiddnap it anything

No it’s not cute or responsible. Only an irresponsible parent would allow that and unfortunately there are many of them out there.

That is such a huge pet peeve of mine - I hate when parents are so inconsiderate and don’t teach their children proper manners.

Its more irresponsible than cute.
Something could happen where they kid gets taken or gets hurt, someone could say something to the kid and hurt them. It’s easier and better to just keep them by your side. Keeps me from having a heart attack, atleast.

It’s completely irresponsible of the parents to allow their child to do this. It makes me feel really sorry for the child because it obviously has parents that don’t give a crap about it’s health and safety. I usually walk the kids back to the table and say "hey why don’t ya watch where your kid is, you don’t know me. Lucky for you this time your kid walked up to a nice person that would bring it back to you. Next time you may not be so lucky with how society is today. You just can’t trust anyone."

It would only take a second for someone to grab that kid and make their way to the door….

I hear ya… we used to have some friends who would let their daughter do that. It was so embarrassing, they would not sit anyone in our section because of this and one time the host came by and asked us to remove the child from a booth so they could seat some people there, ugh.. so embarrassing.
Personally, I have three boys and we eat out often. There have been times where they are fidgety, but come on… teach your kids manners… it isn’t that hard. And I have also been at a restaurant while with my hubby and our three kids and we have requested a different table because of kids looking over the backs of the seats while we are eating, or kids being louder than what I am comfortable with. It is called common respect and I agree that people need to teach it more to their kids.
