Is my health going to be affected by my dining out all the time?

i dine out like 4 times a week sometimes - is that un-healthy?

It all depend’s on where you’re eating and what you’re eating, :-).

If you’re eating at fast food places then the answer is definitely yes.

If you’re eating in a fairly good restaurant, most of them now have healthier choices on their menu and you yourself can decide what’s good for you and what isn’t.
For instance, order a Garden Salad with the Dresing on the side, that way you have control over the portion of Dressing.
Eat Bread Sticks instead of Buns. Stay away from deep-fried or fried food, go for broiled instead, such as a broiled filet of salmon. Avoid french fries and order a baked potato - no butter on it or sour cream, but a little bit of the Dressing or Salsa will make it tasty.

If you’re having Soup as well, go for the broth type rather than the creamy one’s.
And always order a dish that come’s with veggies.

Restaurants tend to give bigger portions than what you’d eat at home, so leave a little of the meat/fish on the plate. OH and a glass of white wine (or red) is good as well, there’s only about 70 cal. in a glass.

    No its not, as long as what you eat is healthy.
    it’s not how often that counts. it’s what you eat.

    Yes, foods cooked in restraunts are not nearly as healthy as foods cooked at home. Usually there is alot of grease involved with the cooking, the foods are fattier, and not to mention the cleanliness of wherever it is you are dining at. Also at restraunts the portions are much larger then what a normal person eats at home. I worked 2nd shift for many years and ate out alot and gained weight from it, now I won’t eat out at all except for once in a while.

    No, dining out all the time not necesary to be unhealthy. It all depends on the quality of the food that you choose.A balance diet is the key to good health. It need not to be expensive. The hygiene, quality and variety of food that you choose is the most important issue. Make sure you have a variety of food in order to have a balance diet. As you know more fruit and vage, less sugar and fat.

    it depends on what you eat, but homemade food is usually better, because at least you know what goes into your food.

    It depends on what restaurants you dine at and what you eat there. Fast-food restuarants are all very unhealthy, there is a lot of grease involved in all of the cooking and the food is full of unhealthy trans fats and preservatives. Most fast-food restaurants are also very unsanitary. There a lot of health hazards from fast-food restaurants.
    If you are eating out at good restaurants that are very sanitary-signs of this are the smell, if the tables are wiped off and free of stickyness, the floors are swept, the dishes very clean (oftentimes if the restaurant is cleaned well where the people go it is cleaned well where the food is made), and have healthy choices on the menu, you probably are ok. The difference between eating at home and eating at a good restaurant is mostly the portion of food you are given. Restaurants almost always give you more food than you should be eating for one meal. But what your health really depends on is what you are eating and how it is made. As long as you keep eating out, just make sure you are purchasing good quality, healthy food, and don’t feel like you have to eat all of the food you are given, you can get it in a box to eat later when you need it.
