An hour and a half sounds about right for an average meal for 2 people, no desert and hold the coffee!
References :
It depends on the type of place you go. Go to a chinese buffet and you're probably out in 20 minutes. However, I had dinner at a Greek restaurant in Kansas City with a group of friends and we were in there for 4 hours.
References :
I think you hit it just right by averaging 1.5 hours. You have to take into account possible slow service or just having a grand time with your dinner guests, including ordering dessert and perhaps extra drinks. You did great!!!
References :
That sounds about right.

The longest meal I've ever had was about 2.5 hours, but that was a special situation. I love taking my time eating a nice, relaxed meal, but most of the time I don't have the luxury of doing that.
References :
My husband and I prefer to be in and out of a restaurant in about 45 minutes. Unless we're having a special occasion and loll around talking and having a couple drinks. (Yeah yeah, I know that's bad for table turns)

Now if you go to a fancy place with many courses, it could be up to three hours (I turned down that job). My restaurant in a small town, I'd say the turnover was 45 min to 1 hour. Longer if they wanted to linger over coffee.
References :
Depends on the number of courses and the caliber of the restaurant (the more stars a restaurant has the longer it will take to get your order, chef "create a dish", cooks follow a recipe, grill guys flip a burger, etc). A typical dining experience at a causal dining restaurant (Applebees for example) is generally right around 1 hour without alcohol or dessert and 1 1/2 hours with.

Hi-

It depends on where you go, and what they serve... If you go to a place that served food in increments you can spend an hour and a half perhaps..However Majority of the time it is around 2 hours give and take- especially if you have drinks and conversate.

Have a good Day
