What is the difference between eating out and dining out?

I’m applying for a job as a waitress and on the application it asks where my favorite restaurant is for eating out and then again except for dining out. I don’t know the difference.

Dining implies a sit down, more formal type of restaurant.
Eating out, means just that; anywhere that you eat that is not at home. It could be a McDonalds or Red Lobster.
Hope this helps:-)

Dinning out is a nicer place.

One might consider a place you pick up (example pizza on the go).

Well, dining out is generally considered going to a nice restaurant to eat dinner, while eatting out is generally a term for devouring the vagina of your significant other. I hear it tastes like tuna, but I wouldn’t know.

‘Dining Out’ is the act of consuming edibles and beverages in a location other than one’s domicile, and is often a social location, involving conversation. ‘Dining Out’ also can involve an amount of money, ranging from a few monetary units to a large sum of liquid assets.
‘Eating Out’ is the act of orally stimulating your girlfriend’s vagina and/or clitoris, I.E. YOU’RE LICKING HER FUCKING CUNT DAMMIT! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! (tourettes syndrome…)
