I’ve always had the attitude that if the cook doesn’t look like he likes me or hes in a bad mood i walk out without ordering.
Looks can be deceiving, and you are judging a book by its cover. I think you need to judge a restaurant by a few things, not just the cooks look. This isn’t the movie Like water for Chocolate, their feelings will not effect the taste of the food.
YOU’RE SUCH A MEAN PERSON! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO SUCH A THING. OMG. ALL THE POOR COOK IS TRYING TO DO IS MAKE A LIVING, BUT THEN PEOPLE LIKE YOU COME AND SPIT IN HIS FOOD AND PUKE ON HIS FACE AND MAKE HIM GO HOME AND CRY HIMSELF TO SLEEP! YOU ARE SO MEAN. TRY SEEING A THERAPIST OR SOMETHING. YOU DEFINITELY HAVE SOME ANGER ISSUES, GOODNESS!

That really is not a fantastic mood to have. Your quality of food is not based on whether the cook likes you or not. It is based on his skill as a chef. Cooking is an incredibly strenuous job in a restaurant situation, and is certainly not uncommon for a chefs appearance to reflect his levels of stress.

You get what you give in this life and if you walk in with a chip on your shoulder, you usually end up with sawdust in your soup. I’ve never encountered that problem in the thousands of meals where I’ve eaten out. Most restaurant employees usually bend over backwards in service to customers that aren’t too busy to look for that which is good. If all you look for is that which is bad, that is usually what you will find.
