IF the service is at least okay, meaning not really bad (in which I leave 0), I double the tax and add more for a really good server. For a buffet I tip a buck or two because I do all the work but bring the drink and if they just had a self serve drink machine they could send the server home.

The standard rule of thumb is 15 % but if you have parties of 8 or more the place may put the tip on your bill automatically for you. if you get excellent service, you could tip more if you would like to.

At a buffet anything from a dollar on up considering how much service you received or ask for … also was it a small or an elaborate selection of food. At fine dining the only time I have ever had gratuity included was for a party of eight or more, and if you felt you had exceptional service then add to it. Otherwise I usually go with 20%, unless again service was exceptionally good or exceptionally bad, and then adjust accordingly. If it is a family or small restaurant I don’t see any reason to change anything … the servers need their tips as much as the others. In the case the owner waits on you, use your own judgement.

You should always tip at least 15%. If they do a better job...give them more.

it is a thing when a pay for one and eat like a Hog,that is
put almost everything on your plate.
Well if the waiter muscular handsome and tall give your cell number.
if tis a family style simply pass a smile cause the waiter knows you the staff knows you and most of all there might be
some family members at the other tables.

Standard tip is18% of the check price. If at a buffet I’d do 15% and if it’s included in the price, you really don’t have to unless you wish to leave extra for good service.
