I would love to stay at home and cook everyday. It really doesn’t bother me, but dining out every now and then wouldn’t hurt.
I have finally reached a point where I prefer cooking at home instead of dining out.
I enjoy cooking for myself and others, it tastes better and is much more consistent than most restaurants, I don’t have to worry about the service, I don’t have to beg someone to get what i pay for, and i clean up when i want to.
However, I still enjoy a good meal out.
I don’t mind cooking at home either since I am into organic foods both produce and meat and many places to eat are not. However, I will make exception for that occasional treat, an upscale restaurant ($100 and up). That gives me great creative ideas to use in my cooking.

I like to cook, because I like the challenge of making something I have never made before. But I love going to restaurants as well. I have a list of my favorite restaurants in New York.
This question has made me realize that I eat out more than I cook. But that is the lifestyle here…it’s extremely difficult to find time to relax…let alone cook.

If I weren’t to lazy to dress and go out I would eat out five or six days week. I’ve been cooking for fifty years and am frankly tired of it. I like my own cooking, but I really don’t want to be bothered anymore. Now I do more snacking than cooking.

Right now with the way I’m working a lot- it’s just so much easier to go out. I’m taking the lazy way out because sometimes I’m too tired to do anything

I would much rather prefer cooking at home. It’s healthier than dining out every week.

everything is best moderately and balanced. Dining out every week doesn’t work.. nor does cooking at home everyday. For me i like dining out, be it either an up-scale restaurant or a simple street side hawker. Stepping out of the house to get some food can be good… you get the walk.. fresh air.. being out of the house. But there are also times where you just feel like whipping up something at home be all cosy.. put on a dvd and eat at home… so …i say! everything in moderate =)!
