Appropriate Dinner Theater Attire?

I just won tickets to a Saturday evening performance of Phantom of the Opera at a dinner theatre. I have no idea what to wear. I know people usually dress to the nines when this show is playing at the Kennedy Center and such.

Do I wear a cocktail dress, gown, dressy pants suit??? The website gives no dress code information.

Dressy casual would be fine for a dinner theatre, perhaps a tad more formal for a Saturday evening performance. A formal gown would be too over the top. A little black dress would be fine, sequins would be a bit much. A very nice pants suit or nice slacks and blouse would also be very appropriate. Have a great time!~

Can you call the place and ask that question. Depends on how up scale the place is. The one near me is casual

Dinner theater performances and environments are much different from the performing arts center events. The more casual setting (in addition to the fact that you will be eating) calls for clothing in which you can be comfortable but attractive. A nice pantsuit would be a good choice with a blouse you can get gravy stains out of.
