Comments on: I am nervous about going to Dinner Theater and wonder if it is awkward?

Probably if you know what to expect, you will be much less reluctant to go with your BF.
I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and we have a dinner theater by the name of Beef N Boards.
The tables and chairs are on tiers just like at a movie theater. You go in and are seated at your reserved table and a wait person takes orders for drinks if you care for anything. Then you sit and talk until the management announces that the buffet is ready and they tell you in what order each table is to go forward to the buffet ( which here, is on the level of the stage area). You go get what you want from the buffet, take it back to your table and eat. After you eat, the wait person cleans your table and asks if you want more drinks. After all that is done; the lights go down and the play or entertainment begins.
There is generally an intermission half way through at which time you are again asked if you want more drinks. You can stay at your table during the intermission or you can visit the restroom or go outside to smoke or just get some fresh air. After intermission, you return to your table and finish watching the entertainment. When it is all over; you get up and leave. Hopefully, with a very pleasant an enjoyable evening to remember.

I went, it was fun. They left us alone to eat the majority of our meal, but the interaction was cool.
