im presenting a show and i was wondering what tips and tricks you can offer me to be entertaining and professional?
im just using a standard mic with a wire and i need some funny things to do?
You can start by going to a performing arts college. Joking aside. You do need a microphone . Get a Sm58 which is the industry standard for most live shows.
As for tricfks on performance, start tripping on your wire and stand on your head as Geremy puts it. And if that doesn’t work, close the microphone and do the deaf and dumb act. If all else fails, you can always sing a nice Geremy folk song.
you should always list what gear you have, gear you will have access to, and any thing you would be willing to acquire…a "professional" won’t mind buying a few hundred dollars worth of gear to do a room right..so please add details…if not…just cut your treble’s and get some of those foam wind screens…I don’t even know what mics your using…

that is usually all about the person, their persona on stage and no real gimmicks are available..some voice things are…but you ain’t be able to do them..like feeling the audience when it is necessary to raise your voice or do something to keep their attention..one thing i do is run loops in the mic line if you have enough room and line…just flip the line with your wrist so a big loop runs down the line and in the air…but don’t do it if you stress the connections…sounds like you’re so new you shouldn’t do anything but focus on what;s at hand…’the topic being discussed, introducing the next orator, pitching the product’
no there are no tricks…there are many tips…but you wont be able to apply them properly without days of rehearsal and knowing the audience, and what material we are talking about…
here is some advice…try not to trip over your own feet…
