Try some coloring…maybe some flashcards and ask them whats on the card, play outside with chalk and play some games in the yard, do some jump rope, kick a bouncy bll around, play dolls, do some play dough, crafts are always good, and read to them.

Heres some little tips:

Try buying some rewards for if they are good. Ex. kid sunglasses, mini toy race car you know stuff like that’s at the dollar store.

you have gotten some great advice and let me tell you most of them work (my wife works in daycare so i know). another thing you can try is find out what their favorite movie is and come up with idea’s to tie into the movie, (act it out, draw pictures, tell stories, etc) then watch the movie. if possible take the children outside and let them run, wearing themselves out. do play-do kids love that stuff, you can even try eatable art work, (ants on a log, fish in bowl, or make cookies) the kids at daycare love this. just be careful around the stove and get moms’ help. check the Internet for fun idea’s. you can get alot, some you will have to simplify because of the ages of the children.
it sounds like you are a great kid and your mom did a great job raising you. much props to you and your mom.

Are they under 6?
Toddlers love role playing and pretend games. Play dolls, princess/knights, restaurant, make menus (crayons/ store flyer pictures etc). (helps them learn too)

Sing/Act out nursery rhymes. Put on a CD and dance. Make up own version of silly songs to ones they already know. Playdough/chalk/bubbles are always a hit.
Even a walk up the block looking at the bugs, flowers,rainbows, splash/puddles,smells/noises think science class.
What’s that? or how does that work? are kids favorite ?’s . You have to be patient with them asking. Also many web sites related to kids tv stations have activities for rainy day making drums,maraccas etc.

Your Mom is a lucky lady and did a great job raising such a loving/ giving daughter… Sounds like a possible future teacher here

Is there a park nearby? That is the best way to wear out children. Other organized activities maybe musical chairs; and relay races and identifying vegetables. My mom would put out various small pieces of fruits and veggies. SHe would ask "Where’s the apple" "where’s the carrot" and we would all make a big production out of eating it, chomping like monsters! This is a great way to get them to eating more healthy-tie that in with snack time!

play with them in til they get tierd out then put them to sleep what ever they want to play believe me 10 kids it helps

thats really mature of you,

chalke, it’s very cheap you can buy a whole bucket at wal mart for a dollar and it can entertain for hours

and if its raining then coloring books and some childrens sing along tapes
