Built in the mid 1910's, the building was originally a land office, in the 1930's it was bought by Axel Johansson and turned into a pool hall with a bowling alley upstairs until the early 1950's, when the bowling alley was moved. The main business since that time has been a bar. In 2005, Joanne and Dan (aka 'Spookman Dan' of L.A. Television Fame) Tucker bought it, with the dream of an old time Speakeasy on the main level and a Dinner Theatre upstairs.
The centerpiece of this building is the tile floor, on the main level... It is 3/4 inch tiles with multi-colored border. Even with some damaged areas, it is a sight to behold. There is approximately 2,500 sq. ft. on each floor -- capacity on main floor is 100-150, with the same amount in the Dinner Theatre.
