I’m looking for a decent chinese restaurant that won’t cost a fortune. In or around leicester square would be best. If you have any advice or know where i can get some good restaurant reviews that would be great.

Wong Keys. (This is not a joke) It’s just up from Leicester Sq in Wardor st. The waiters are the rudest ever, you sometimes have to share a table, which can be nice. It’s not to expensive and the food is fantastic.

Absolutely - Wong Kei in Wardour Street. If you stand with your back to the entrance to McDonald’s in Leicester Square there is a side street across the square from you. You will see a clock that sticks out sideways from the wall on the left hand side of that side street some way down. It is there. The food is fabulous and authentic.

There are lots of Chinese restaurants in the area north of Leicester Square known as China Town. My favourite Chinese restaurant is the New World in Gerard Place, off Shaftsbury Avenue. It specialises in Dim Sum cuisine
For the uninitiated Dim Sum is a style of dining in certain Chinese restaurants. trolleys roam around the room containing a variety of dishs ranging from little white steamed buns containing barbecued meat to braised chickens feet. You can get steamed prawns and little parcels of sticky rice. Its usually a cheap way to dine particularly if you share dishs. Dim Sum is normally served in the day before 6pm.
